Making It Easier To Meet Your Food Importation Requirements
The AgriChain Centre has developed a specific support package aimed at assisting food importers to demystify the requirements of the Food Act 2014 and related regulations. The support package consists of these elements: supplier assessment, labelling review, documentation & audit, staff training.
We will visit your business premises to discuss and understand the scope of your current and/or future import activities. During the visit we will also assess and review your suppliers’ certificates/documentation and carry out a risk assessment of the food you import. This includes providing you with a structured record of the risk assessment to comply with the Food Regulations.
We provide assistance with checking food ingredients, advise on potential limitations for some ingredients and calculate the required nutritional information required for imported food products.
Documentation & Audit
We are able to prepare your documented system required to manage your food safety plan. This will include recall procedures. We can also create customised forms to keep your records and regularly audit the performance of your contracted transport and/or storage operators.
The best systems in the world still depend on a qualified, trained and committed workforce. The AgriChain Centre can come to your site and train your team in all hygiene and food safety matters relevant to your business.
We are able to provide a cost estimate once we understand your specific requirements.
