Anne-Marie has worked in the cut flower, amenity horticulture and vegetable production sectors with both
a domestic and export market focus. A large part of her career has been associated with the produce
supermarket industry as a produce supplier, quality assurance manager and consultant in post harvest
handling and distribution systems.
A further area of expertise is policy development and analysis for local or central government
on agribusiness related matters including the wool, pig and dairy industries.
Anne-Marie is a competent and experienced project manager and has lectured at Lincoln and Massey
Universities in the agribusiness and supply chain areas.

Keith Budd
Executive Director
EDIPPM, Dip. Hort. Mgt, Dip. Hort.
Keith has a broad horticultural background gained from careers entirely spent in the New Zealand
horticultural sector. His experience ranges from growing subtropicals and market garden produce through
to managing operational functions within MAF’s former Quality Management Group.
With a strong background in biosecurity matters Keith has been advising agribusiness organisations
and Government agencies on policy development in the areas of export and import requirements and the
development of risk management models. Keith is based in Wellington.

Dr Hans Maurer
Managing Director
MBA, B. Hort., Dip. Bus. (Mktg)
Hans’ early horticultural career involved training as a nurseryman and working in orchards and
market gardens. This formed the basis for a successful career in supermarket merchandising and
marketing, with an emphasis in business strategy and supply chain planning.
He is a provisionally accredited member of the Institute of Directors, a professional member of the Royal Society of New Zealand and a member of the Economics Commission of the International Society for Horticultural Science.
Hans is Chairman of Global Doctoral
