Bug Business – Biosecurity Newsletter

Biosecurity is a complex compliance issue. Businesses typically like to reduce their time spent on non-core activities. However they cannot afford to ignore compliance based issues.

Bug Business is the AgriChain Centre’s own regular communication tool for Transitional Facilities. We aim to inform and assist in understanding how your business can satisfy Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) requirements in a sound and rational fashion.

SEPTEMBER 2017 UPDATE: MPI changes result in new training providers

The AgriChain Centre will cease TFO & AP Training after 31 October due to MPI changes. MPI is moving from the Biosecurity training provider model that has been in place since 2004 to its new Biosecurity Partner concept. The AgriChain Centre will regretfully no longer offer Biosecurity training for Accredited Persons or Transitional Facility Operators after 31st October 2017.

To ensure your training related Biosecurity obligations are not disrupted, IVS and The AgriChain Centre have agreed that IVS will accept your training bookings for November and beyond on 0800 021 169 or via www.ivs.co.nz

The consultancy, advice and project management part of our Biosecurity business will continue to be available to you, covering assistance with the preparation of Biosecurity site manuals, internal audits as well as the provision of signs and equipment.
