Risk Goods Facilities

 
A risk goods facility is a Transitional Facility importing and devanning goods which MAF determines to be a certain risk level to the country. Examples include fresh food, timber products and chemicals.

Under existing MAFBNZ Standards importers of risk goods are required to manage the Biosecurity risk associated with the goods they import through documented procedures.

For risk goods facilities we will, in addition to preparing your manual, visit your site and work with you to customise your programme to meet your specific requirements.

We will ensure that you have:
• Your processes in order
• Your facility up to scratch
• Your procedures manual accurately reflecting your processes and being aligned with your legal requirements
