Accredited Person Training Course
This is the standard MAF Biosecurity New Zealand (MAFBNZ) approved training course for people wanting to become “Accredited Persons” for checking sea containers. We hold these courses nationwide.
Our trainer’s are supportive and will ensure everyone is comfortable in the class. No matter what background trainees have, we work hard to ensure they feel comfortable and supported.
This course provides:
- An overview of what the term biosecurity means and how it is important in a country like New Zealand
- An understanding of the Import Health Standard for Sea Containers from all Countries and the role of Accredited People at Approved Transitional Facilities
- Information needed by Accredited Persons to carry out an effective check of containers and their contents
- Practical know-how on Transitional Facility and procedure requirements based on your business needs.
Who should attend this course?:
- All persons who will be checking imported containers and want to become Accredited Persons so that their Transitional Facility can receive imported sea containers
- All Operators/Owners/Managers who also want to perform the tasks of an Accredited Person
- After the course you will be familiar with your obligations as a MAFBNZ Accredited Person in the sea container pathway.
Attendees must:
- Be able to speak and write English fluently to complete this training course successfully
